[A rain-slicked alleyway in Prague] Narrator: They say the nightmare started in Prague. A shadow in the frost. [A Tokyo street, shadows stretching long] Narrator: By the time it reached Tokyo, it had a name: The Stray. [A messy Chicago motel room] Elias: It's not an urban legend. It's a living plague. And it's been following me. [The motel door shakes violently] Narrator: Folklore claims it only hunts those who acknowledge its existence. A viral thought made flesh. [Elias loads a silver revolver, hands shaking] Elias: Five cities in three months. I thought crossing the ocean would break its scent. I was wrong. [The brass lock on the door slowly clicks open] [The wooden door creaks inward to pitch blackness] Narrator: The Stray doesn't break down doors. It simply arrives when you finally stop running. [Elias aims his shaking gun at the door] Elias: Stay back! I swear to God, I'll blow you straight back to hell! [A tall, pale man steps from the dark, smiling too wide] The Stray: I didn't crawl, Elias. You thought of me. And so, you invited me.
