The story as narrated
Every night, Mina heard her mother calling from outside her bedroom.
But her mother had been dead for three years.
One night, the voice whispered:
“Mina… don’t open the blue door.”
Mina turned around.
A tiny blue door had appeared in her bedroom wall.
The handle turned by itself.
She opened it.
Behind it was a glowing corridor leading to a magical world of floating islands, waterfalls and stars.
Mina stepped inside.
Then she saw another door.
She opened it… and froze.
It was her bedroom.
Another Mina was sitting on her bed.
Same face. Same braids. Same blue dress.
The other Mina smiled.
“Finally… you’re out.”
“Now it’s my turn to live your life.”
The door slammed shut.
