The story as narrated
High up in the bright blue sky lived a tiny, fluffy cloud called Puff. Puff loved floating through the sunshine, watching the little world below. But one day, Puff felt something strange. Plip! A tiny raindrop fell from his tummy. “Oh no!” worried Puff. “I'm raining!” Puff looked at the lovely sunny day below. “What if I spoil everything?” So Puff squeezed himself tight and tried very hard to hold the rain in. But then... Puff looked down. The colourful flowers were drooping. The tiny plants looked dry and thirsty. A little frog sat beside an empty puddle, waiting for some water. And a duckling waddled around, searching for somewhere to splash. Puff thought for a moment. Maybe... a little rain wouldn't be so bad. Nervously, Puff let one tiny raindrop fall. Plip! Then another. Plop! And then... Pitter patter, pitter patter! Puff was raining! The flowers lifted their heads. The little plants perked up. The frog leapt happily into his new puddle. And the duckling splashed and splashed! Puff couldn't believe it. His rain hadn't ruined the day at all. It had helped make something wonderful. Soon the rain stopped, the sunshine returned, and across the sky appeared a beautiful, colourful rainbow. Puff smiled proudly. He had been brave after all.
