The story as narrated

A Turkish civil servant works alone in a dull government office, dreaming of a perfect civil service life. In his dream, the sky becomes his rubber stamp and the staple wires become stars. White papers turn into graceful women, while his old friend, the wind, comes to drink tea with him. His office chair is no longer a chair but the warm sand of a beautiful beach. His strict boss counts his sleeping time as working hours. He smiles peacefully and thinks: what a wonderful civil service job! His tea tastes sweet, his radio plays beautiful melodies, and his desk calendar becomes a page of spring. A playful memory of Turkish pop culture from 1997 appears among the papers. He imagines the perfect working day: no crowded office, no endless paperwork, no impatient visitors. The sea is beside his desk, birds fly above his files, and the wind turns the pages for him. But reality returns. He must reach one particular person, finish his work and stay late. The hours pass slowly. There is paperwork, a tired desk, and the familiar sesame bagel waiting for him. Still, his imagination refuses to surrender. Filing cabinets become palm trees, documents become flying stars, and the office lights turn into a golden sunset over the sea. Finally, he sits peacefully on the sand with his tea, watching the stars. The bureaucratic world disappears, leaving only his beautiful dream of the perfect civil service job.
